Betsy Wisehart graduated Magna cum Laude from Brown University, where she was elected to the Rhode Island Alpha of Phi Beta Kappa. She received her Masters in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island in 1993 and her CPA designation 1995. Betsy Wisehart has been in public accounting since 1993, working for the firm of Wisehart, Inc. She has served as an adjunct professor of Accounting at the University of Rhode Island. Her practice focus is Taxation – individual, corporate and partnership. She has considerable experience in the resolution of tax disputes with the IRS and the states. She takes a year round approach to tax preparation by encouraging tax planning and coordinating with her clients’ legal and financial planning advisors. She has worked extensively with non profit organizations.
